Katy Willis lives in Northern Utah with her husband, Mark. They met on a blind date while at college and have been married for almost 19 years.

Katy earned degrees in Nursing and Music from BYU-Idaho and is a passionate lifetime learner. She has shared that love for learning as a full-time homeschooling mom to their 4 energetic children for 10 years. She also LOVES supporting her students and clients in their own individual learning journeys, too.

Katy's life was nearly burned to the ground when Mark relapsed with pornography and compulsive sexual behaviors 11 years ago. They had a wonderfully (overall) supportive church congregation at the time, and they eventually found the specialized professional help they both needed with private and group counseling programs, 12-step programs, and body-based protocols such as EMDR, QNRT, and Neurofeedback.

Additionally, Katy found yoga! At that time, she didn't understand the powerful tool that had just crossed her path. All she knew is she felt better whenever she unrolled her yoga mat, so she kept moving and meditating everyday. 11 years later, she is still not only unrolling her mat every day, but she is also learning to take yoga off the mat and into her daily living.

With adequate tools and resources coupled with years to experiment, learn, and grow, Katy eventually found a wonderful place of peace and healing...yet having struggled so intensely through her journey (as did her family), she knew she couldn't truly be free while other individuals, couples, and families were still struggling desperately in the aftermath of addiction and trauma.

So in 2018, she decided to enrolled in her first 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program in order to become an officially certified yoga instructor. Over the years, it's been her privilege to literally travel from coast to coast and train with world-renowned instructors. She is now a certified yoga and meditation instructor with over 1200 hours of training and over 500 hours of teaching experience.

Her trainings and certifications includes: Hatha Yoga; Kundalini Yoga; Yin Yoga; SuperHealth (yoga, meditation, and diet to support addiction recovery); trauma-sensitive yoga; kids yoga; and prenatal yoga.

She is also a life coach, and is currently training and certifying as an advanced relational trauma coach. Private coaching sessions coming spring 2024!

Above all, she is a passionate disciple of Jesus Christ. Come join the grace for relational trauma community and activate His grace ---grace that is available for YOUR body, YOUR mind, and YOUR heart!
